Apprenticeships

The Hammer & Aid Apprenticeship is a long-term volunteer program for people who can commit at least one month and want to take on significantly more responsibility than a standard volunteer. Apprentices help produce essential forged equipment for Ukrainian soldiers while also supporting the organization behind the scenes. You will learn practical blacksmithing, workshop operations, logistics, volunteer coordination, administration, and how to help manage a growing international volunteer project.
This apprenticeship is physically and mentally challenging and requires reliability, resilience, and a serious commitment of time and effort. It is intended for people who want to work hard, learn quickly, help others, and make a direct contribution to supporting Ukrainian soldiers. Stays longer than three months may require a Temporary Residence Permit, which applicants are responsible for obtaining. The Hammer & Aid Apprenticeship is demanding and deeply rewarding, but it remains an unpaid volunteer position.
